Film Screening: Soot Breath/Corpus Infinitum with Professor Denise Ferreira da Silva

UPDATE: The upcoming event featuring Dr. Ferreira da Silva has been postponed. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to proceed with the event as scheduled.

Rest assured, we are actively working on rescheduling the event, and the new date will be announced as soon as it is finalized. Please sign up for our newsletter for more updates.

Join us for a film screening of Professor. Denise Ferreira da Silva’s film Soot Breath/Corpus Infinitum, a collaboration with filmmaker Arjuna Neuman. Soot Breath/Corpus Infinitum is a film dedicated to tenderness. It explores the nexus of environmental challenges, racial disparities, and health impacts, emphasizing the disproportionate effects of resource extraction on marginalized communities. Turning away from European and colonial constructions of the human the film turns to the skin, heat, and tenderness, as a way to speculate how to live otherwise with other humans.
