Walking Through History: Activism in Labor and Health

  • International House 2299 Piedmont Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94720 United States (map)

The Center for the Critical Study of the Health of Latinx Communities is pleased invite you to ‘Walking Through History: Activism in Labor and Health’, featuring Dolores Huerta, Lupe Martinez, Ruth Martinez, Yolanda Chacon-Serna, and Roberto Bustos. Since the 1960s these activist and community organizers have championed for improved social conditions in labor and health in the Central Valley.

In this event, we hope to bring the community together to honor and celebrate the strides made by leaders within the farm-working community, acknowledge persisting challenges, and chart a path inspiring new generations of activists, professionals, and leaders to study the social determinants affecting the health of Latinx communities.
